I respect and appreciate Rod’s contributions to aviation literature. Many other authors are very egotistical and talk a great deal, but leave out important practical insights and tips. I have been around aviation since I was 12, and over the years I find myself reading articles and books, and asking myself why certain things are not mentioned, or why excessive time is spent on relatively minor issues. Any time I see something published by Rod I make it a point to read every word. I especially appreciate his philosophical pieces.
